Telegram Ordering for Restaurants: Take Orders in the App Your Customers Already Live In

Customers build their order on your digital menu and send it to your Telegram in one tap — pre-filled, itemised, and ready for you to confirm.

Turn your NEMENU into a Telegram-first ordering channel. Diners pick items, choose modifiers, set quantities, then hit Send — the order arrives in your Telegram chat as a clean, structured message you can reply to like any normal conversation. Built for markets where Telegram is the default messenger: Eastern Europe, Central Asia, expat communities, crypto, and tech-forward niches everywhere.

Why Choose NEMENU?

Everything you need to create professional digital menus that delight your customers.

Same Cart, Telegram Send Button

The public-menu cart works exactly like the WhatsApp version: tap, configure, hit Send. The only difference is the destination — Telegram opens with the order pre-filled and ready to send.

Username, Not Phone Number

Telegram orders go to your @username — no phone number required. Cleaner for businesses that don't want to publish a personal number, and easier for customers who already have you as a Telegram contact.

Built for Telegram-First Markets

If you operate in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, or serve a tech-savvy expat crowd, Telegram is often the messenger your customers actually use. Meet them where they are.

Stacks With WhatsApp and SMS

Enable Telegram alongside WhatsApp and SMS — customers see one button per channel and pick the one they prefer. No 'pick a default' decision; let the customer choose.

Plain Telegram Chat — No Bot Required

Orders show up as a regular Telegram message from the customer. No bot setup, no webhook, no Telegram Business account needed — just your normal Telegram, with order details delivered cleanly.

Per-Location Telegram Usernames

Each restaurant location can have its own Telegram username so orders route to the right team. Falls back to the main tenant username when a location doesn't set its own — no orders ever drop.

How It Works

Get your digital menu up and running in minutes with these simple steps.

1

Add your Telegram username

In Settings → Business Info, enter your Telegram @username (with or without the @ — we handle either). Multi-location? Set a per-location username under Settings → Locations.

2

Tick 'Enable Telegram ordering'

Right under your Telegram username, switch on 'Enable Telegram ordering — adds a Send via Telegram button on your public menu.' Save.

3

Open your public menu

The cart drawer now includes a sky-blue 'Send order via Telegram' button. Tap it — Telegram opens with your order text pre-filled, ready to send.

4

Customers send, you reply

When a customer hits 'Send via Telegram', the order arrives in your Telegram inbox just like a friend's message. Confirm pickup or delivery time in the same chat. No new tooling.

No. Telegram ordering uses Telegram's standard t.me deep link format — orders go directly to your personal or business Telegram username, like a friend messaging you. There's no bot, no BotFather setup, and no webhook to maintain.

Functionally, they're identical from the customer's point of view: tap items, hit Send, the order arrives as a structured chat message. The difference is which app opens. Most NEMENU customers enable both — the cart shows one button per channel and the customer picks.

Yes. The send button uses t.me, which is Telegram's universal deep-link format supported by every Telegram client — free, Premium, and Business — on iOS, Android, Web, and Desktop.

Telegram's t.me link opens in a browser fallback for first-time users, prompting install/sign-up. For most ordering flows we recommend enabling at least one other channel (WhatsApp or SMS) so customers always have an option that works on their device.

Yes — once the customer is in chat with you, you can reply with confirmation, ETA, photos of the order, or anything else. From the customer's view, it's just a normal Telegram conversation with the restaurant.

The Telegram button won't render unless both the toggle is on AND a username is set. If you only have WhatsApp set up, only the WhatsApp button shows. The cart adapts to whichever channels are configured.

WhatsApp dominates LATAM, MENA, South Asia, and parts of Europe. Telegram dominates Eastern Europe (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus), Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan), Iran, and tech-savvy / expat / crypto communities globally. Pick the one your customers actually use — or enable both.

Yes. Each restaurant location can set its own Telegram username under Settings → Locations. Orders from that location's menu page go to that username. If a location doesn't have one set, the order falls back to your main tenant Telegram username automatically.

Yes — exactly the same format as WhatsApp ordering. Each line reads '2× Margherita (Large, +Olives) — €18.00' with variants and modifiers in parentheses, line totals, and a grand total at the bottom in your menu's currency.

Yes. Telegram ordering is included on every NEMENU plan, including the free plan. The 60-day Pro trial gives you analytics, multi-location Telegram usernames, and the rest of Pro at no charge — no card required.
